Thanks to Matt who commented on our VPN Setup Tutorial about this and I think it’s worth a post emphasizing the point.

Go to the Networking tab, highlight Internet Connection Version 4, and click Properties tab.ĥ. Right-click on your VPN connection and choose Properties.ģ. Open Network Connections window by clicking Start and typing in NCPA.CPLĢ. To change this behavior so that you use the local internet connection to access the internet and only access remote server when needed, please follow the following steps.ġ. Or use the Printer Assistant, Printer Home Page (EWS).

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by going to the printers IP address in your browsers address bar, click Settings Tab/Auto Off. but it has to do with Pro/E losing its connection to the license. The remote VPN server you are connecting to will become your network gateway by default once the VPN connection is established, meaning that from this point on until the connection is disconnected, all your Internet traffic will be re-routed to the VPN server first. Verify in the printer that 'Auto Off/Sleep/Energy Saving Mode' is disabled and/or the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0). Everytime I put my computer to sleep and wake it up, an additional pop up appears.
